About our initiative
We are a group of medical students from a number of different universities across Canada who are currently living in the Greater Toronto Area. We are working together with our community and public health providers to organize and supply personal protective equipment (PPE) to our front-line healthcare providers as we collectively face the COVID-19 pandemic.
As hospitals and clinics are challenged with an increasing number of COVID-19 related cases, there is an urgent shortage of PPE that are vitally important to keeping our front-line healthcare providers safe.
We are 100% committed to equitable and ethical distribution and are working with Ontario Health - Toronto Region to assess and meet the changing needs of large and small healthcare facilities in the Greater Toronto Area.
So far, we have been supplying PPE to hospitals, long-term care centres, assisted-living facilities and public shelters.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERNCE
Please see below for opportunities to help!
The PPE Drive
We currently have a team of dedicated volunteers available to pick up any PPE that you are willing to donate. We are accepting a variety of open and closed PPE, including masks (surgical, N95), gloves, distinfectants, face-shielfs / goggles and other coveralls(including feet and head coverings). Please see FAQ for details and click the ITEM DONATION button below to fill in our donor form.
Toronto Sews Program
In light of changing guidelines and requests from healthcare centres, we are now collecting handmade masks to meet the needs of shelters, long-term care centres, and vulnerable people living in our communities.
As part of our new Toronto Sews initiative, we will provide and deliver recycled fabric right to your door so you can help us sew masks from the comfort of your home. Once they’re completed, just fill out our donation intake form so we can send a volunteer to come pick them up.

Thank you to everyone for helping us reach our first milestone of $10,000! This will go towards contributing to a large purchase order of new PPE that will be distributed to different healthcare facilities in the GTA.
